Bournemouth University Campus LifeThere are two campuses at Bournemouth University; the main Talbot Campus, located in the nearby town of Poole, and Lansdowne Campus, near Bournemouth city centre. Bournemouth University offers a wide variety of accommodation, from halls and student hotels to shared homes in fanciable residential areas of the city.In addition to its excellent learning facilities, Bournemouth University also comes with numerous computers for student use, a great Students' Union and student welfare services, fantastic sports facilities, including a sports hall, squash courts and a climbing wall, and a quality library. The Cities of Bournemouth and PooleBournemouth has been a favourite holiday destination since Victorian times, owing to its fabulous beaches. Bournemouth Pier is the main attraction down on the shore after the beaches and there is plentiful opportunity to sample respite away from the tourist masses in the citys many lush parks and gardens. In addition, the shopping options are superb, while the nightlife features the theatre and endless pubs, bars and nightclubs.Presiding on the lovely Poole Harbour, nearby Poole offers much of the same as Bournemouth, yet at a more sedate pace.
Student LoansBournemouth University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
