Bristol UniversityFounded in 1876, Bristol University occupies a verdant area to the north of the River Avon in the heart of the city. Bristol University is well known for its past roll in admitting women on an equal basis to men regards higher education and today boasts more than 5,500 part-time and full-time students. The University of Bristol has six schools of faculty that are divided up into 45 departments and 15 research centres. The six faculties are:

In addition, many shops, cafes and bars are also on-site.Accommodation options are good at Bristol University and range from halls and self-contained flats to tasteful town houses in local neighbourhoods. All accommodation is within walking distance of the University and all on-site rooms have data point and telephone connections.
The City of BristolAs the largest city in the West Country, Bristol is a real eye catcher and offers quality shopping and entertainment to boot. Bristol is best known for the Clifton Suspension Bridge, brainchild of I K Brunel, while the town centre is loaded with medieval, Georgian, and Victorian architecture and is best explored on foot. Shoppers will be delighted with the West End and Whiteladies Road, and The Quarters area features many cafés, restaurants, pubs and clubs.
Student LoansBristol University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
