Cardiff University
Founded by Royal Charter in 1883, Cardiff University (Prifysgol Caerdydd) is the largest provider of adult education in Wales, with an international reputation for high quality teaching and research. Cardiff University has a student population of 22,000, drawn from a variety of backgrounds, along with 5,000 staff throughout 28 schools.

There are around 5,000 beds available at Cardiff University and outstanding on-campus facilities for students, including sports and computer facilities, cafes and restaurants, cafe-bars, a quality students’ union, and an abundance of peaceful green areas.

Cardiff is Wales’s principle urban centre boasting a lively waterfront area and an exciting blend of old and new in the town centre. The renovated Cardiff Castle is the city’s most striking landmark, while magnificent architecture is evident wherever you turn. In addition, and like all great UK capitals, Cardiff offers some fantastic shopping and dining, and the choice of nightly entertainment is mind-boggling.
Student Loans
Cardiff University is allowed to charge new full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
