Chester University Campus Life

Facilities at the two campuses at Chester University are outstanding, with a variety of on-campus sports facilities, clubs and societies. There is an all-weather football pitch, tennis and squash courts, a 25m indoor swimming pool, and a gym, sauna and solarium.

The campuses also come with shops and eateries, as well as the excellent Chester Students' Union, while accommodation is on-site and well appointed.

The city of Chester

Located in the northwest of England, Chester has excellent shopping and entertainment options, with the 'Rows' consisting of covered medieval shopping streets and the nightlife featuring numerous pubs and clubs and the busy Gateway Theatre.

There are many worthwhile sights in Chester, such as Chester Cathedral and Chester Zoo; the UK’s largest zoo with more than 5,000 animals. Other notable attractions include Chester Racecourse and the collection of spectacular houses and gardens that surround the city.

Student Loans

Chester University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
