Accommodation at Edinburgh University is in quality halls and flats, as well as nearby self-catering flats, and is some of the best in the UK, while sporting facilities and services are also of the highest quality. In addition, the university library is ancient and immense and is spread across 21 sites. Edinburgh University also boasts excellent disabled facilities and a quality Students' Union, while numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and bars are spread throughout the five campuses.

Edinburgh is loaded with striking architecture and many brilliant museums and galleries, while The Royal Mile offers endless shopping options and the entertainment precinct north of Princes Street features numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs.
Student LoansEdinburgh University is allowed to charge UK non-Scots between £1,700 and £1,900 per year. Scottish and EU students from outside the UK will have their fees paid for them by the SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) but will have to pay the Graduate Endowment upon successful completion of their degree. Student loans are the best option for covering tuition fees and day to day living costs as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
