The city of Leicester

Located in the heart of England, Leicester benefits from excellent transport options, via road and rail, while the rest of the world is accessible via nearby Birmingham International Airport.

Leicester’s vibrancy and cosmopolitanism is owed mainly to the huge student population, which make up a significant portion of the city’s populace. City centre streets are pedestrianised allowing for unhindered shopping and visitation of the many trendy cafes, fine restaurants and pubs and bars in town.

Student Loans

Leicester University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
