University of East Anglia Campus Life

The campus at the University of East Anglia is set in over 300 acres of beautiful parkland near the city centre of Norwich and has an excellent range of student services and facilities.

The campus at East Anglia University is compact and well-equipped, with everything in close proximity, including accommodation and the Union of UAE Students, and there are some notable architectural treasures within the campus. Sporting facilities are particularly great; the Sportspark is one of the largest sports complexes in the UK, complete with an olympic-sized pool and fitness centre.

In addition, the famed Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is also on-site - a collection of fascinating works from around the globe - while shops, bars, and eateries are in abundance.

The city of Norwich

Norwich is a great university city; it has numerous entertainment options, including theatres, cinemas, and many trendy cafes, bars, pubs and clubs, while the shopping is rated as one of the best in the UK - head for the cathedral and the Riverside Quarter for the town’s best bars and restaurants.

The town of Norwich itself is a friendly urban centre and comes with some outstanding attractions and medieval architecture; the 12th century cathedral has the second tallest spire in the UK after Salisbury Cathedral and is the highlight. In addition, Norwich is close to the beautiful Norfolk Broads region; a collection of pretty waterways in between Norwich and the North Sea.

Student Loans

The University of East Anglia is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
